Pan Drop & Filter Replacement
Transmission pan dropped, cleaned, filter replaced, and pan gasket resealed on vehicles with serviceable external pans.
Fluid Condition Inspection
Transmission fluid checked for color, smell, and contamination to determine whether a service will help or a rebuild is needed.
Transmission Diagnostic Scan
OBD-II scan for transmission-specific fault codes to identify solenoid failures, speed sensor issues, and shift problems.
External Seal & Gasket Repair

Speed Sensor Replacement
Input and output speed sensors diagnosed and replaced when causing erratic shifting, speedometer issues, or transmission codes.
Mobile Transmission Service in Port Charlotte, FL
The transmission is one of the most expensive components on any vehicle to replace, which makes preventive maintenance especially worthwhile. Fresh fluid at the correct service interval keeps the clutch packs, bands, and valve body operating smoothly and removes the metal particles that accumulate in the fluid as internal components wear. Jason's Mobile Mechanics performs transmission fluid service on-site in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and throughout Charlotte County — including pan drops and filter replacements on vehicles with external pans, and drain-and-fill service on sealed transmissions using the correct OEM fluid specification. We won't recommend a fluid flush as a fix for a mechanically failing transmission, but for vehicles with service-interval shifts or early signs of shift quality decline, a fluid service is often the most cost-effective intervention available.
We also handle transmission diagnostic scanning for vehicles that have already developed codes or shifting problems. Florida heat is hard on automatic transmissions because they run hotter in stop-and-go traffic on US-41 and during peak summer temperatures, especially in vehicles that tow or carry heavy loads regularly. If your transmission is slipping between gears, taking longer than normal to engage from a stop, or producing a burning smell after extended driving, a fluid inspection and diagnostic scan will tell us what's actually happening inside before any further work is recommended. External seal leaks — the most common cause of gradually declining fluid levels — are also a job we handle on-site without requiring a lift.
Transmission Problems We Diagnose and Service
- Slipping between gears or engine revving without speed increase
- Delayed engagement when shifting from park or neutral to drive
- Rough, hard, or jerky shifts between gears
- Transmission warning light or check engine light with shift codes
- Dark, burnt-smelling transmission fluid
- Transmission fluid leak (red fluid under the vehicle)
- Shuddering or vibrating during light acceleration (common in CVT transmissions)
